1. Scope These general terms and conditions apply to all sales transactions between Granimax OÜ (reg. code 12382975) and the customer.

2. Order Process The customer submits a price request, and Granimax provides a preliminary quotation. The initial quotation is valid for one month. After surveying work, Granimax issues a final order. The customer accepts the order by signing a copy or otherwise agreeing.

3. Product Quality Granimax strives for defect-free products. Customers acknowledge that natural materials may have variations in texture, pattern, color, and shade. These variations are not considered defects.

4. Tolerances The following tolerances are permitted:

  • Worktop dimensions: up to 3 mm
  • Hole dimensions and centers: +/- 3 mm
  • Worktop thickness: granite/marble +/- 3 mm, quartz/ceramic +/- 2 mm
  • Worktop unevenness: up to 0.5 mm
  • Assembly: 1-3 mm
  • Backsplash height difference: 0.5 mm

5. Customer Obligations Before surveying, the customer must prepare the working area:

  • Install lower cabinets securely.
  • Remove existing countertops (unless agreed otherwise).
  • Ensure cabinets and support frameworks are suitable for the new countertop weight.
  • Prepare the wall for backsplash installation.
  • Disconnect sinks, taps, hobs, and stoves.
  • Provide safe access to the working area.
  • Provide product specifications for sinks, taps, hobs, and stoves.

After surveying, the customer must:

  • Ensure cabinets and support frameworks remain in the same condition.
  • Ensure correct cutouts for sinks, stoves, etc.
  • Remove existing countertops and backsplashes.
  • Cover the floor with a non-slip material.
  • Close water connections and turn off electricity.
  • Provide lifting assistance if agreed upon.

The customer understands that Granimax does not handle:

  • Removal of existing countertops
  • Disconnection/reconnection of utilities

The customer understands:

  • Surveying and installation take 1-3 hours on average.
  • Granimax may take photos for quality assurance.
  • Failure to prepare the working area may result in additional costs.

6. Delivery and Installation Granimax delivers and installs products according to the agreed terms. Granimax may use subcontractors for surveying and installation. The customer inspects the work and signs a delivery and receipt document. Granimax will address any defects found during inspection. The customer must be present for installation and inspection. If the customer is absent, Granimax may use third-party witnesses. The risk of damage transfers to the customer upon signing the delivery and receipt document. The customer must not use or touch the countertop for 24 hours after installation.

7. Invoicing and Payment The customer pays for surveying work as per the initial quotation. The customer pays for products, installation, and related services based on the order and agreed payment terms. Granimax issues a prepayment invoice after the customer confirms the order. Non-payment within 30 days cancels the order. Granimax issues the final invoice after completing the products and before installation. The customer must pay the final invoice before installation. The default payment term is three business days from the installation date. Late payments incur a 0.06% daily penalty and additional collection costs. Granimax offers warranties for products and services as disclosed on the website.

8. Complaints and Disputes Customers can submit complaints to Granimax. Granimax will respond and provide solutions. Disputes are settled through negotiation or court proceedings. Granimax’s liability is limited to direct property damage. The liability limit is the price of the products involved in the claim. Granimax is not liable for lost revenue.

9. Applicable Law Estonian law applies to the agreement. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Granimax processes personal data in accordance with applicable law.
